Working out when the next close is…
Every "final price" we hold today is just the last price we happened to see before a lot vanished — a lot last seen at 1pm and found closed at 8pm hides every bid in between. Recording a close window fixes that, and stamps each result with how much of the ending we actually watched.
Records: price, bid count, seconds left and extension state for every lot through its
close, then the final price with an observation lag — under 30s is a confirmed hammer
price, over 5 minutes is only a lower bound and gets labelled as one.
Does not record: who won. Bidder identities are personal data and running locally does
not change that; everything they would tell us about how to bid is already in the prices.
On your phone. Watchlists and bids come from your HiBid login, which only the laptop helper can read. On the laptop, open Bring in your watchlist & current bids and press Copy link for my phone, then open that link here.
